I’m a film enthusiast and aspiring editor from Egypt whose love of cinema began in the most casual way—watching movies whenever I could. All of that changed when I stumbled upon Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds and became spellbound by its gripping opening scene - delving into how Tarantino achieved such tension through dialogue. I also found inspiration in the Safdie Brothers’ works, including Uncut Gems and Good Time, where their fast-paced, tightly woven editing kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish and made me realize the crucial role of editing in shaping a viewer’s experience

Growing up, I was immersed in Egyptian and North African films; later, I branched out to international cinema from the UK, Western Europe, and the USA. Over time, I noticed a common thread in many of my favourite Egyptian and International films—a uniquely cohesive editing style led by certain remarkable post-production teams. This discovery solidified my passion for editing as the creative glue that unifies a film’s atmosphere and emotional core.

Music videos further fueled my interest because they allow for a boundless range of visual storytelling, free from the constraints of strict narrative structures. As an editor, I’m fascinated by the freedom to experiment with pacing, rhythm, and style to craft a purely sensory visual experience.

Currently, I’m honing my craft in a collaborative environment that introduces me to a variety of cinematic traditions, enabling me to shape my own unique editing style. Ultimately, my goal is to produce work—whether films or music videos—that resonates with audiences worldwide while reflecting my personal vision.
